Our customer, a recognized leader in the global passive electronic component and interconnect products industry, is at the forefront of technology, design, manufacturing and supply. They occupy 20 manufacturing facilities in 12 countries and their revenues were up over 40% in 2007!

We are currently assisting them with a search for a Research Manager to oversee the assigned staff and administer all aspects of research in the Advanced Technical Product Center.

 

Job Duties include:

  • Work with senior management, establishing and executing the research business plan
  • Establish and oversee the budget for the department and all related financial matters
  • Conceptualize new products, processes and market utilizations which will enable corporation to maintain a leadership position in the marketplace
  • Provide the sales and marketing organizations with customer support for new product development, applications engineering and problem solving
  • Must be able to act on behalf of the Vice President of Technology during his absence or travel on all matters with respect to laboratory operation

 

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications

Candidates must have a an advanced degree in engineering, materials or a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years experience in progressively more responsible positions within a design/development or research environment.  Must have knowledge of thin film and thick film processes and experience with product design and software systems.  Must have experience with new product development.
