Qualified candidates will be conducting non-English language phone survey research on transit issues in Chicago. The position is located in Evanston, IL and will start on Wednesday, July 9th and last approximately 2 months.
· Must be able to speak Korean, Mandarin, Tagalog, or Polish
· Must be flexible and able to work 4pm – 9pm Monday through Friday, Noon to 8pm Saturday and Noon to 6pm on Sunday. Interviewers will work 4-5 days per week including Saturday and Sunday.
· Easily accessible by phone during regular work hours (8 am to 5 pm)
· Ability to read and speak English and the selected language fluently
· Ability to speak in a clear voice with a professional manner
· Ability to build and maintain a rapport with respondents; professional demeanor at all times; courteous, polite and calm.
· Ability to use computer software proficiently (Word, Excel, e-mail) and to learn new software quickly
· Ability to type approximately 40 words per minute and distinguish between numbers on a key board
· Ability to provide regular written updates via email
· Ability to work with limited supervision but maintain a production schedule
· Ability to follow directions and learn quickly
· Ability to sit for long periods of time
· Ability to attend at least one in-person training session for approximately 4 to 6 hours at a location in the Chicago area
· Working knowledge of the CTA system, transit experience, familiarity with the geographic region.
