Product Manager Digital Media

imeem, inc. is looking for a Product Manager to join our talented team of technology and engineering professionals. In this position, you will be responsible for product offerings around our massive music and music video catalogs. You will work closely with our media partners, including Universal Music, Warner Music Group, Sony BMG and EMI, and collaborate with them to provide our users new and innovative digital media experiences. Your efforts will be central to our expanding growth and popularity:

• imeem.com is the #1 music streaming site on the Internet, getting nearly 30MM unique visitors per month
• Our network of embedded widgets get over 100MM unique visitors per month

Some of the things you’ll do every day:

• Build new digital media products to expand our digital media delivery, publication, identification and reporting systems
• Manage contact with our partners including major and independent record labels, video distributors, etc.
• Monitor and analyze usage trends and user tastes
• Meet business objectives and milestones in a fast-paced environment
• Manage partner requests and reporting obligations
• Write and deliver Product Requirement Documents (PRDs)
• Manage product timelines and help prioritize engineering work
• Review incoming Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) and translate into functional products
• Develop operational procedures to support new and existing products

Successful candidates should have the following qualifications:

• 3 or more years of experience in product management or a related field
• BS or equivalent work experience is required. MS or MBA a plus
• Interest in, and passion for, the music industry -- specifically digital rights and the nature, structure, and nuance of artist-label relationships at play within the digital world
• Proven experience in delivering products in a timely fashion
• Knowledge of product management principles and practices
• Must be an effective written and oral communicator, and be good with numbers
• Scripting experience in Python/Perl
• Coding experience in a OO language like C#, Java, C/C++ is a plus
