In light of this expansion, we currently have a career opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator in Boulder, CO. This job requires the administration and maintenance of Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases. If you are a seasoned database administrator with strong administration and development skills related to managing large internet databases, we invites you to send us your resume and join a world class Data Center Operations team.
Responsibilities
· Manage Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases in a production and development Data Center environment.
· Manage & monitor the Data Center’s hardware and software infrastructures.
· Perform design, development and implementation work related to the maintenance and expansion of the Data Center’s hardware and software infrastructures.
· Coordinate with and support Development and other stake-holders as appropriate.
· Perform system maintenance as necessary.
· Perform on-call duties on a rotating basis.
Required Skills and Experience
Required Administration Skills:
· 8+ years of development and administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL databases to include database replication.
· Experience with Microsoft Analysis Services and Reporting Services.
· Advanced SQL tuning and development skills.
· Advanced organizational, analytical, problem solving and documentation skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.
Desired Administrative Skills:
· Strong Windows and/or Linux operating system skills
· VERITAS Cluster Server for Windows
· Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley & Payment Card Industry (PCI) security audits
Education & Certifications:
· 4 Year Technical Degree (Example: BSCS, BSEE, etc.)
· One required, both desired:
o Certified MySQL 5.0 DBA (CMDBA)
o Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA)
