Job Description:

Ecological Supervisor - Product Development Director
Location: Sacramento, CA
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000

Sequence is currently seeking a Product Development Director / Ecological Supervisor for one of the nations leading and most well respected agricultural pesticide manufacturing / development firms.

The ideal individual would have at least 8+ years experience in the development of pesticides for agricultural use. Experienced with global agriculture, crop cycling, common pest identification, diseases and pesticide (insecticides / fungicides) usages. This would include experience with development of pesticides for specialty seed crops, trees, fruits, nuts, and other commonly planted agricultural crops.

The Product Development Director will be expected to drive product development of all new and existing product lines, domestically and internationally. Working with divisional departments (Marketing, Research/Development, Sales, Ecological/Biological, Field Support, etc). to develop, investigate and position new products into the marketplace. Conducting product trials, developing protocol designs, statistical evaluations of results, and making recommendations to senior corporate personnel on product development and usages.

Additionally the Product Development Director will be required to oversee field ecological activities, all regulatory, intellectual, property investigations, manage US and South American personnel, develop department budgets, approve progress payments and have direct peer oversight on all technical functions for the organization.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, agriculture or other related technical discipline. Masters degree is preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and have a very inclusive management style to oversee vastly diverse divisional activities.
