Job Description:

Asbestos Estimator / Project Manager
Location: Oakland, CA
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000

We are currently seeking a Senior Level Estimator / Project Manager / Estimator to undertake asbestos abatement projects throughout the Northern California Region.

The Estimator / Project Manager will have at least 5+ years of experience in the Estimating and Project Management of abatement projects, this would include developing project scopes of work, budgets, bid submittals, cost management, project construction oversight, management of RFI’s, change orders, and conducting client relations/management for Asbestos, Lead and Demolition projects.

Ideally this would be an individual with proven experience and relationships / contacts who could bid and manage an annual book of business and develop or maintain client relationships. Work load for the organization is normally 50% / 50% public to private work, so an individual that can tie into to either aspect is desired. Additionally, the individual will be required to provide training and guidance to environmental technicians, coordinate project requirements to ensure conformance with appropriate local, state and federal permitting regulations on projects.

A Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related discipline would be a plus to consideration, but is not required over relevant work experience and knowhow. Asbestos, Lead Abatement Licenses or inspection certifications in California are desired. Must have excellent written and verbal communications abilities and desire to estimate projects on a daily basis.

This position is generally slotted to be based in the clients San Francisco / Bay Area office location; alternatively though a telecommuting situation could be structured to allow the right individual to be located along the corridor to Sacramento once they come up to speed where he / she could service work in that regional territory.
