Job Description:

Electrical Designer - Cleveland, Ohio (2321)

3- 5 years experience in drawing/designing and supervision in drawing/design to assist the electrical engineers in creating electrical drawings.

• Generate electrical schematics, panel layouts, interconnections, cable list, etc
• Generate pneumatic and hydraulic piping diagrams.
• Prepare bills of material, Write requisitions for material
• Review specifications to determine requirements of the project.
• May direct and supervise the work of Detailer to ensure completion of the project according to the contract schedule.
• Will work directly with an Electrical Project Engineer to produce drawings and other documentation required from sketches, existing drawings or verbal instructions.
• Be a self-starter and be able to a complete task with a minimum of supervision.
• Proficient with AutoCAD electrical design software.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Siemens or AB PLC programming experience a plus
• IEC drafting experience a plus

Must be able to read, interpret, and use required standards and customer-supplied documentation. Technical orientation with knowledge of electrical processes. Must be able to effectively read and understand blue prints. Able to work independently and capable of self-checking for completeness and accuracy of work produced. Able to receive and transmit drawings electronically into a customer CAD software. Knowledge of steel industry. Computer literate in CAD and Microsoft Office. Must be a self-starter and able to contribute in design reviews. Experienced in the development and implementation of both hardwired and PLC based control systems. Experienced in pneumatic and hydraulic control design. Experienced in the development of PLC applications for both sequential and process control using both Allen- Bradley ControlLogix and Siemens S7 PLC equipment. Experienced in development of HMI applications using Wonderware Intouch and Siemens WinCC. Familiarity with NEC & NFPA 86 safety standards

Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00
