• Monitored ongoing toxicological research and Safety Evaluation data before and after registration of products to determine labeling requirements/changes and to assess potential hazards to users.

• Coordinated all data on assigned products, wrote proposals and requests, and presented to EPA personnel for registration and provided written and verbal defense of warnings and labeling.

• Developed replies and position papers on EPA-proposed regulations affecting the Division's products.

• Handled the Private Certification Program for the state of Kansas.

• Handled and monitored The Special Restricted Heptachlor Use Permit Program for Kansas in EPA's phase-out.

• Worked in a team to develop and write laws concerning pesticide usage, storage, and disposal of pesticides for the state of Kansas.

LITIGATION

• Read and evaluate medical records, expert witness testimonies, and all documents, evidence, and claims.

• Critique depositions of plaintiff(s) and their witnesses and our witnesses for trial. Reported to Corporate, Divisional, and outside counsel on updates and side issues on litigation.

• Provided direction to Corporate and outside counsel on litigation against the Division, made summaries of medical records and issues at hand, questions for depositions, and attended depositions of all expert and fact witnesses of our Division and plaintiffs.

• Worked directly with outside counsel on all toxicology litigations.

• Responsible for evaluation and interpretation of all medical records supplied by physicians, veterinarians, and the public.

• Appeared as expert witness at trial and in depositions for toxicology litigations for CIBA-GEIGY, other companies, customers, clients, and a criminal Court Martial.

• Carried a litigation caseload of 20 to 50 per year. Plaintiff numbers per suit were 1 to 300+.

• Sat at table as company representative at all CIBA-GEIGY toxicology trials.
