Appointed as Chief of Staff for Sprint’s President of Network, Operations and Wholesale with an organization consisting of 8 senior executive teams and more than 14,000 employees.
- Spearhead and act as the focal point of contact in streamlining internal and external communication, budget management, strategic planning, presentations, and financial administration.
- Function as the President’s liaison tasked to coordinate plans and initiatives in conjunction with the Executive Lead Team optimizing the company’s business strategies and realigning plans and objectives.
- Communicate key initiatives on behalf of the President to ensure that all priorities, operational goals, and financial targets are met and that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
Acting Vice President , Interconnection Solutions Sprint Nextel (Overland Park, KS) 2009
Designated leader overseeing an organization and guiding a total of 1600 direct and indirect reports. Managed and ensured preparedness of the organization through strong focus on leadership, communication, and team work.
- Successfully led Interconnection Solutions organization during management transition; administered billions of dollars in annual access expense, as well as directed the maintenance and installation of Sprint network facilities generating hundreds of thousands of transactions annually in both large center environments and remote offices.
- Enabled the seamless restructuring of the organization and reduced labor intensive cost by developing, facilitating, and coordinating tactics for urgent cost management and outsourcing opportunities.
Director, Interconnection Solutions Sprint Nextel (Overland Park, KS) 2005-2008
Provided strategic direction to 300 direct and indirect reports and streamlined all engineering activities to provide installation and maintenance of Sprint Nextel’s wireless and wireline transmission and switching networks, including switch programming, 911 operations, and the provisioning, disconnecting, and maximizing usage of transmission facilities.
- Satisfactorily achieved build plan objectives, generating multi-million dollar revenues in the area of voice and data services.
- Maintained superior level of service by implementing numerous process improvements, audit opportunities, integrated work structure, and standardization efforts.
- Significantly improved workforce productivity by 10% to 15% annually for three years.
- Led and strategized execution of plans to capture annual expense savings of $50M to $100M through aggressive and creative cost-reduction strategies as well as enhanced workforce efficiencies, improving the profitability of voice and data services.

Directed and maintained the integrity of all service provisioning activity in a large center environment with a total of 400 direct and indirect reports. Built an additional organization of 150 employees to process service for cable companies. Strengthened the team and fostered continuous increase in efficiency.
- Dramatically increased product orders from 100 to 30,000 per month within eight months. Empowered focus on customer and met marketing needs in order to timely launch new services for cable companies.
- Orchestrated all efforts in raising labor productivity and maximizing profits through integration of work activities and consistent reporting on workforce management in order to manage greater work volume with fewer employees.
