MeadWestvaco Coated Board (2002 – present)
Responsible for supporting coated product development research and technical support at the Mead Coated Board mill. The Mead Coated Board mill annually produces over 1 MM tons of Coated Natural Kraft™ packaging board. Coated Natural Kraft™ is used in beverage packaging and consumer folding carton products.
 Organized pilot plant coater trials including batch sizing and material requirements, material requisition, weekly agenda, and coordination of supplier visits. Weekly operational expenses in excess of $30,000.
 Responsible for workflow and product handling of trial prototypes. This included prototype tracking, physical and optical property testing, and customer sampling. Skills involved fork and clamp truck operation, guillotine press, trimmer press, and paper testing equipment.

MeadWestvaco New Products (2001-2002)
Member of the long term research product development group responsible for identifying new market opportunities and developing targeted products for the Consumer & Office and white paper division.
 Utilized micro-encapsulation techniques to develop a novel self adhesive envelope for the Consumer & Office products division.
 Experience in preparing silicon receiver sheets as well as encapsulated adhesives.

MeadWestvaco Carbonless Division (1999-2001)
Responsible for supporting product development and technical support at the Chillicothe carbonless mill. The Chillicothe mill consists of three paper machines and two off-machine coaters. The mill produces sheet and web fed carbonless grades.
 Provided technical support for the carbonless capsule formulation during the mill conversion from acid to alkaline papermaking. This project resulted in mill annual savings of $17MM.

Mead Research (1998-1999)
Beater Room operator for No. 2 paper machine responsible for the pulp makedown and preparation for all pilot trials.
 Responsible for ordering materials, making down furnishes, assisting in machine operation, paper physical testing, and shipping of finished goods.

MeadWestvaco Research (1998-2003)
A member of the initial implementation team of the Behavior Based Safety Process
 Assisted in the development of the initial Critical Behavior Index (CBI) used to access safe behaviors.
 Performed coaching and training sessions of employees to perform and report on safety observations.
 Attended Behavioral Based Safety Training by BST®.

1996 to Florida Tile Industries, Lawrenceburg, KY
1998 Quality Control Supervisor – Quality Control Technician
The largest producer of glazed ceramic tile in America. Florida Tile has annual revenues of $150MM and employs over 950 people.

Responsible for supervising an operation team of 18
 Responsible for writing a maintaining all quality testing Standard Operating Procedures for Quality Lab.
 Trained all new quality lab technicians on raw material and finished product testing procedures.
 Team responsibility included supervising 13 glaze operators and 5 laboratory technicians.
 Skilled in screen-printing, ink make-down, ink specifications, and ceramic production processes.
 Responsible for the receipt and acceptance of raw materials arriving in rail cars, based on testing and specifications.
