?Illumination design, analysis and modeling, such as LED or specific source, such as 3D sources.
?Optical System Design (course taken in 2004, 15 specific lens design examples and lots of skills).
?Very extensive research reading about lens design, such as Zoom lens, microlithographic projection lens and microscopy lens.
?Coating, scattering, imaging system, lens array, fibers.
?Very good optimization technique. Zemax programming using Macros or ZPL.
?Tolerance sensitivity analysis.
Matlab skills:
?Optical system simulation, modeling and analysis.
?Digital image processing (very good skill and experience).
?Algorithm generation and implementation.
?Specific optical source design and analysis for further used in Zemax simulation.
?Optical fiber and fiber bundle application. Wave propagation in atmosphere or turbulence.

Responsibility: optical system modeling, design and analysis for eye and contact lens measurement systems.
Projects involved:
?Project 1: Independent and original design non-contact range estimation method for the eye measurement system. Optical aberration theory and Zemax Sequential Ray Tracing method is used to do optical system analysis and modeling. Matlab Image Processing, Least Square Curve Fitting and Iterative Algorithm are used in research and implementation process. Highly skilled lab work involved. To be patented.
?Project 2: Independent and successful design of corneal topographer for the eye measurement equipment. 3D illumination light sources are designed, analysed and simulated. The mechanical part is designed and then analysed by Zemax. Non-Sequential Ray Tracing is used to simulate specific light source, diffuser, optical component coating and optical system.

Matlab is used to model, analyses and generate data file of the specific light source for further used in Zemax simulation.
? Project 3: Independent design of the optical system for an eye measurement system by using Zemax. Non-Sequential Ray Tracing is used. Anti-reflection coating, lens array, multi light sources and model eye are designed and simulated.
?Project 4: digital image processing and analysis to develop a technique to measure contact lens thickness.
