Experience in Professional Curriculum:

From 20th march 2004 to 20th march 2005 internship in Kurunegala Teaching Hospital, Srilanka.
(This hospital covers over 500,000 persons daily over 300 inward admissions and more than 700 OPD patients per day)

In that period i did surgery and paediatrics and medical appointments. i have to take histories and examination and go for ward rounds myself alone and with consultant. in surgery appointment period i have to do minor surgeries, assist major surgeries, give instructions to nursing staff regarding pre operative preparations to the patients, doing post op ward rounds and take care of patients , regular checking over drug charts. Arrange the wards that are suitable for patients. Conducting clinics register and give dates to the patients for surgeries. Doing and conduct consultant advices. In paediatrics appointment i have to do ward rounds, make a good relations with children, and asses them. Present the cases to consultants. Conducting clinics and regular check up for chronically ill patients. In medical appointment period I have to go and attend emergencies in ICU, and contact the senior people whenever I meet very bad cases. In this period over 10000 patients I handled and give medical care.

From 20th march 2005 to 15th December 2005 worked as a Surgical Senior House Officer (SHO) in Kurunegala Teaching Hospital., Srilanka.
(I work as SHO in the same hospital)

In that SHO period, I have to check ward patients list. Supervise the house officers, checkups over the drug charts. Doing daily ward rounds, attend emergency oncalls, doing minor and major surgeries. Assist the consultants in major surgeries. Check-up on the pre-op and post-op patients. Make diagnosed cards, and conducting clinics. Contact consultant surgeon and anaesthetic on emergency management, and follow their management plan in dealing with emergencies.

From 15th December 2005 to 10th April 2007 worked in Trincomalee General Hospital as a Surgical Medical Officer, Srilanka.
(This hospital covers more than 350000 populations, daily 150in ward admissions and daily 600 OPD patients)

As a medical officer (MO) I have to check ward patients list. Supervise the house officers, check-up over the drug list. Doing daily ward rounds, attend emergency on calls, doing minor and major surgeries. Assist the consultants in surgeries. Check-up on the pre-op and post-op patients. Make diagnosed cards. And conducting clinics. Contact consultant surgeon and anaesthetic on emergency management, and follow their management plan in dealing with emergencies. Assisting patients when they transfer to national hospital for further care by ambulance.

From 01ST May 2007 to Nov 2007 work as Senior Medical Officer in Dhanvantri Hospital (pvt ) Ltd, Trincomalee , Srilanka.
(This is a private hospital, with a high standard of medical care and facilities, same as western hospitals)

as a senior medical officer(SMO) doing regular rounds, check other mo duty lists, and make duty roasters in night and day swifts, maintain the ICU stability. Supervise the other train doctors. Conducting meetings with managing director and visiting consultants. Regulate and supervise the other medical staffs and doctors.

From 25th Nov 2007 working as a company doctor, PPI projects in US military base, Anaconda, Balad, Iraq.
(In this I m the only doctor take care of more than 1600 employees)

Here I have to take regular checking of employees working inside the camp. Make necessary steps to control contagious diseases. Check the medical reports of employees and regular check over vaccination schedules to the employees, conducting vaccinations. Conducting medical safety classes to employees. Make sure employees health while they are in work. Attend medical emergencies 24hrs in a day and 7 day in a week.
