Systems Engineer
• Design lead for PC application OpenGL 3D View component integration into another product line. Managed complete development cycle from requirements definition, estimation, financial tracking, GUI design, integration testing, and documentation.
• Systems/Project Engineer and Lead Software Engineer for Operational Debrief System (ODS). A Component Object Model (COM) based design for coordination and synchronization of multiple digital video and audio streams for a PC post-flight pilot debriefing. VB GUI design with C/C++ COM objects incorporating DirectX framework. Classified access program.
• Over $1 million program with delays doubled the schedule but remained highly profitable.
• Managed a small software development team which implemented several new innovative features and included direct management of subcontractors.
• Personal focus on GUI design and implementation.
• Extensive experience in rapid prototype development in VB.Net and C#. Working implementations of new features and enhancements for proposals/customer review.

• Proposed and was awarded the $1.2 million F-22 Operational Debrief System (ODS) development program. Successfully proposed a software solution as a superior solution from the originally proposed HW solution. Classified data access.

Senior Software Engineer
• Developed software for object-oriented MFC based C/C++ military mission planning system.
• Managed analysis of migration from Win16 to Win32 and Win32s.
• Designed and implemented a test automation object library which eliminated hundreds of recurring man hours for software qualification test data preparation. Mission Planning software is still being sold and supported globally.
• Key participant in an F-16 avionics system upgrade field integration for Dutch AF deployed to Italy for NATO support in Bosnia no-fly operations.

• Led ground support station software development team for the F-22 prototype fly-off. Pre-flight data preparation system for cockpit data. Working system was integral to initiating flight test competition. Completed on schedule and budget. Supported field integration and flight tests.
• Received a letter of Commendation for Outstanding Job Performance from Lockheed; the winning team in the F-22 competition. Led to over $10 million in contract awards.
• Participated in a software team involving several companies to retrofit the F-16 with the Digital Terrain System (DTS). Developed the ground station with a proprietary SCSI interface for high speed data transfer to flash storage flight hardware. Supported field integration and flight test. Led to over $10 million in contract awards.
• Won Fairchild Defense President’s Award, DTS Team, 1991 and 1993.
• Reverse engineered a competitor’s data storage system format for rapid integration and deployment for the USAFE F-111F and completed field integration and test in preparation for the 1st Gulf War.

Software Engineer / Associate Engineer
• Solely responsible for software design, implementation, and test of the company’s first PC platform product. F-16 Data Transfer Cartridge Test Set was completed on time and within schedule and yielded a 10 to 1 performance improvement. Units are still in use after nearly 20 years. Subsequently developed a derivate product that was lucrative to the company for 10+ years.
