Supervising Detective Investigator of Security Division (February 1989 – Present)
• Responsible for fire safety and internal security for more than 1,500 employees occupying more than ten stories (30,000 square feet) of office space in state of the art office building shared with the United States Secret Service, Marriott Hotel, and other NYC agencies, as well as evaluation of intelligence date; use of electronic systems and other procedures to enhance office security.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures, related to hiring, staffing, budgeting, overtime control, safety, and training for approximately thirty law enforcement and civilian security staff.
• Assisted in the development of an emergency evacuation program, emergency response team, and defibrillator training.
• Performed countless investigations to secure and obtain evidence for use in criminal proceedings; located and protected witnesses needed for trial; conducted threat assessments and evaluated intelligence data for protection of threatened witnesses and agency personnel.
• Made arrests with and without warrants; executed orders of the New York State Supreme Court Criminal Division such as court ordered extraditions; bench warrants; material witness orders and search warrants.
