PERSONAL STATEMENT:
I was employed by the Government of St.Vincent and the Grenadines in the Department of Libraries, Archives and Documentation Services. With twenty three years in the Library Service, eight of which as an Educational Advisor, I have attained excellent knowledge in the different areas of library science and Educational Advising.
As Documentalist, I was the Head of the National Documentation Centre which is library for Policy Makers, Researchers and members of the Public Sector
During my tenure as a Library Assistant, I assisted in the delivery of quality customer service in the Reference and Lending Services to the General Public. I performed duties such as circulation , accessioning, cataloging, shelving, processing of books, data entry, displays, maintenance of book stock, and inventory, organized and coordinated the Children‘s Library Annual Summer Program. I was responsible for branch libraries and bookmobile services
As an Educational Advisor, affiliated with the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs, I provided advising services for prospective students wishing to study in the United States America. I introduced and organized college fairs in St.Vincent and the Grenadines.
Also, I was the Supervisor/Executive Secretary at Realty Valuation Services Inc. and sister companies ,ABC Real Estate Services and Williams and Williams located in Brooklyn, New York.
