VP of Global Engineering

Responsible for technical strategic planning, design, development, test, tooling and launch of refrigeration and sanitation product including chemicals. Responsible for 70 with 6 direct reports in the US; dotted line responsibility for European Engineering operation. $7M US engineering budget; $15M related capital budget. Completely redesigned and launched the RV and marine sanitation product lines. Provided executive leadership and technical direction for a “New Product Platform” (projected sales of $70M) gas absorption refrigerator product line which met the business case and reinvented the core product for the company. Executive Champion for major new products and several cost reduction projects which netted several million dollars worth of savings for refrigerator product. Provided leadership for project management and an internal product data management system.





Ford Lincoln-Mercury Dearborn, MI 2002-3

Value Engineering Contract position: EASi

Responsible for value engineering of interior systems focusing on restraints, crashworthiness, headliners, door trim and seats. Direct savings of $4M / year.

Leader – Body Engineering 2001

Responsible for management of the body engineering group. Body panels and closures, BIW, lighting, interior and exterior trim (primarily injection molded product) and seating systems. Staff of 18; operating budget of $4 million.



Director – Design, Reliability & Test 1999-2000

Responsible for design, test and reliability for ASC. 9 programs. Staff of 45 (60% contract). $6M budget. Major customers: GM, Toyota, Mitsubishi, BMW, D-C.

Responsible for Product Engineering, Design, Test, Warranty and R&D for the business unit (facilities in Mexico and the United Kingdom). Staff of 33 with 7 direct reports. Managed $7M budget. Applied knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling and materials for injection molding, RIM urethane, magnesium and aluminum die casting, stamping, welding and electro-mechanical devices for creative, robustly engineered product solutions.

Responsible for instrument panels, consoles, steering columns and steering wheels and related electro-mechanical devices. 7 direct reports; 20 indirect reports in design and test. Managed $7M E&D budget.

• Resolved design criteria with GM Styling resulting in functional, cost effective, high quality solutions.

• Led console and instrument panel VE efforts with key suppliers that netted 15% cost reductions.
